(More customer reviews)I've always wanted a wristwatch with a rectangular face. I'm also a fan of Art Deco. When my stainless Rolex Datejust needed to be shipped off for its regular servicing, I wanted a replacement that would look nice, be durable, and not cost a pile of money.
I picked up this Armitron watch several weeks ago, and I have not been disappointed. This watch really looks very nice on the wrist, and it's held up very well throughout the craziness of my daily routines. I really like the clasp on the bracelet; all I have to do is slightly pinch each side & it pops off easily, yet it doesn't come off by itself during normal wear. Setting the time & date is done very easily by pulling out the crown & adjusting it accordingly...pretty much a straightforward operation.
The only complaint I have about this watch, and the reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is that the black face of the watch has a texture to it, and this texture makes it quite hard to see the hands in certain lighting conditions. Nevertheless, this is a minor complaint & the watch's good points outweigh this one negative issue.
Once my trusty Datejust returns, I'm pretty sure I'll alternate between wearing it and this Armitron.
