(More customer reviews)I ordered this as a gold box deal, so got it for about $80.I must say that it is a very good value for the money.It is a beautiful watch, more attractive than the picture makes you think it will be, very heavy and solid feeling.The brass colored face is really handsome.I must say that I was taken aback by how dressy/fancy it is, however.In the picture it didn't look quite so, well, big.It is too big for me to feel comfortable wearing on a daily basis, as I generally go for something with a slimmer profile, but it would be perfect for a big guy who likes fancy things.And for the money, it simply cannot be beat.The hands are easy to see, the styling is great.If you are into bold things, then this is a great fit for you.If you like something lightweight and not too bulky, then this will not meet your requirements.

Automatic Watches
Automatic watches do not operate on batteries. Automatic watches are made up of about 130 or more parts that work together to tell time. Automatic movements mark the passage of time by a series of gear mechanisms, and are wound by the movement of your wrist as you wear it. The gear train then transmits the power to the escapement, which distributes the impulses, turning the balance wheel. Also referred to as self-winding, watches with automatic movements utilize kinetic energy, the swinging of your arm, to provide energy to an oscillating rotor to keep the watch ticking. They're considered more satisfying to watch collectors (horologists) because of the engineering artistry that goes into the hundreds of parts that make up the movement. If you do not wear an automatic watch consistently (for about 8 to 12 hours a day), you can keep the watch powered with a watch winder (a great gift for collectors).
